Inspired By Cars - Graduation project 2005.
In this project the fascination of how strongly the automobile and its history has influenced society in every popssible aspect was taken as a starting point to conduct a trorough survey. The automobile was reviewed under various aspects, examining its impact on everyday life, art, design and culture.
In the wake of this research the manifold control devices to be found in a car were identified as very specific and solely restricted to its environment. This alluded to the idea of a evolutionary process of design in a specific environment.
In consequence each of the reulting three designs of domestic electrical appliances tries to transfer a specific control principle from the area of the automobile into the environment of the living space.
