New studio for APFEL

London based graphic designers APFEL (A Practice For Everyday Life) commissioned Simon Denzel and ASSEMBLY to design the interior of their new studio.
The objective was to create a clean, open work environment with
no fancy frills, but a designer's considered look at details.

Denzel and ASSEMBLY came up with an adaptable shelving system with an open wooden structure and powdercoated bent steel shelves. The shared working desk is set on reclaimed table legs with a new white laminated plywood top. Laminated plywood has also been used for the cupboard doors, alternating white melamine with ash verneer.
In the meeting room next to the ash verneer conference table, simple but functional narrow bent steel shelves display samples of APFEL's work.
